Meeting geothermal ground source heat pump is a electrically powered system that takes advantage of the earth’s constant ground temperature to provide heating, cooling and hot water for your home or business.
Meeting modular geothermal ground source heat pump, can be easily connected together for any size heating & cooling system at the project spot. Maximum 64 units can be worked together for the largest 3840KW output capacity.
Water to water system pumps heat through the use of a simple refrigeration system, it pumps heat from the warm earth in the winter and move it into your house or business. In the summer, the process is reversed. Since it costs far less to move heat than to make it, much less energy is consumed.
For closed loop system, water or an antifreeze solution is circulated through plastic pipes buried beneath the earth’s surface. During the winter the fluid collects heat from the earth and carries it through the system and placing it in the ground.
Open systems operate on the same principle as closed loop systems and can be installed where an adequate supply of suitable water is available and open discharges is feasible.
Loops can be installed three ways: horizontally, vertically or in a pond or lake. The type chosen depends on the available land area and the soil and rock type at the installation site.

How it works
There are three important elements to a ground source heat pump:
1.The ground loop
This is comprised of lengths of pipe buried in the ground, either in a borehole or a horizontal trench. The pipe is usually a closed circuit and is filled with a mixture of water and antifreeze, which is pumped around the pipe absorbing heat from the ground. The ground loop can be:
•Vertical, for use in boreholes
•Horizontal, for use in trenches
2.A heat pump
In the same way that your fridge uses refrigerant to extract heat from the inside, keeping a ground source heat pump extracts heat from the ground, and uses it to heat your home.
3.Heat distribution system
This consists of under floor heating or radiators for space heating and in some cases water storage for hot water supply.
